Our Story · Justine

Built for the rather bouchée little pooch

Hi I'm Justine and as a small dog owner and lover… I understand the importance of knowing that my rather bouchée little pooch would have a little luxury whilst away from home. With his original day care increasing in size I wanted to create a safe space that specialised in small dogs with big attitudes with flexible days.

In 2023, The Hound House was born, out of a deep love for not only my dog, but all dogs, especially the pocket rockets versions and low to the ground hounds. Hence I designed a simple stylist space specifically for your small much loved fur baby.

Created to accommodate a smaller number of dogs, my aim is to provide an exclusive small dog daycare and grooming salon for the discerning dog owner. Let's face it, we all love somewhere great to hang with our friends so why shouldn't your pet have the same.

The Temperament Trial

2 hrs · $30 · Mon, Tue & Fri 8:00am

I like to start all new dogs with a short trial to check their temperament, behavioural characteristics, play style & toileting habits. This also allows them to have a good sniff in our outside area and become familiar with the space prior to coming for day care all whilst getting to know the other pack members. This also gives me an opportunity to play with your dog and see how they interact in a controlled group environment.

Please ensure you bring the following to your first visit:

  • Your dog :)
  • Their collar or Harness and Lead
  • Current Vaccination details
